FAIR Principles for Research Software Released

The FAIR4S Working Group has released version 1.0 of the FAIR Principles for Research Software.

The working group was jointly convened by the Research Data Alliance, the Research Software Alliance and FORCE11. The release of version 1.0 of the Principles follows 2 years of work by over 500 people.

The goal of the Principles is to improve the sharing and reuse of research software by making it

  • Findable
  • Accessible
  • Interoperable
  • Reusable

The Principles revise and extend the existing FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship.
